The words flittered through Anise's mind, ringing true as they were said. Her body felt so relaxed....so pliant.... Lapin's sexy, soothing voice guiding her, counting down how far she would descend into her subconsious.
"...Let it happen.... four...five...six..."
The pillows of the chair were so nice, she didn't want to move. Just be pliant...relaxed...open...

Lapin continued the count to one hundred. By this time, Anise was subconsciously breathing with Lapin. Her deeper mind was open and ready to receive suggestions, though not yet commands.
"Very good Anise. Your mind is very open now. Your trance is sooo deep. Your breathing with me steadily. You're deeply hypnotized, ready to trust me completely and follow my suggestions."
"You feel yourself raised up, as though by hidden strings. Your comfortable chair is melting away. It's time to explore your memories with me. Are you ready?"

Lapin's voice detailed exactly what took place in Anise's mind. Her breathing...complete trust.... the sensation of strings pulling her up, raising her higher, while her chair melted away. She was suspended, relaxed, ready to follow, to explore...

"...okay...", she murmured. As Lapin spoke of walking, her legs started moving of their own accord in her subconscious. She turned.... right into the scene of a recent memory that was somewhat pleasant. She was eating something called 'shaved ice' from a café at the Sanctum. It was dipped in a mix of fruit juices: strawberry, orange, and kiwi. And the cool taste was delightful, putting a smile on her lips. She spoke of all this to Lapin, how the flavor and temperature made her feel at ease and happy.
