Astarielle sat at the table, sighing. It had been a few weeks since she had last fought. Not that she enjoyed it...but if she didn't keep up her practice, she'd be ill prepared when she was called to do so. Why couldn't the world stay saved for five minutes? She chuckled to herself as she took a drink. In the end, she had chosen to play the hero. Her reasoning for doing so hadn't changed.

"Let me protect everyones happiness..." she murmured.

Meanwhile, a few tables away, Rebecca and Tason were drinking together. Rebecca glanced back at where Astarielle was sitting.

"You going to let her keep feeling that way?" she asked, shaking her head and looking back at the knight. When she had heard of Tasons quest, she was more than happy to lend her bow to his cause. Then they had picked up Astarielle, and Rebecca had been feeling concerned about her the entire time. The girl had a good heart, and she had proven she was capable of fighting when called upon, but her heart wasn't in. In the end, Astarielle was too kind, too innocent. She'd expected Tason to deal with the situation, but he'd been mostly silent on the matter. Granted, it had been Astarielle who had pulled his butt out of the fire during the battle in the desert, but that didn't change the fundamental fact Astarielle was not suited for this quest.

Tason, true to form, didn't respond right away, taking a heavy drink. "It's who she is, Rebecca. If we try and take it away from her, it will cut away her desire to fight, the flame that gives her that ability. She fights to protect, just like you and I." he looked over at her. "Our methods don't suit her, but there simply isn't a method of fighting that does."
