It was feared every time it happened, who would fall prey to it's charms this time, how many would travel out and never return. It would always sounds horrifying to begin with, but then it was mentioned that it was the scent of fresh baked treats and it lost a lot of it's menace. It didn't make it any less worrisome though as again the warm, heady scent of fresh doughnuts, pastries, mixed in with scents of gummy sweets and other assorted sweet stuffs swept across the unfortunate village in which Magus had decided to plague this time, and soon the victim would be pulled into the area of her hold for now, not unlike the gingerbread house, but much larger, covered in pink icing with gum drops, lollipops and all sorts of delectable edibles lining the outside walls. With a soft hum of excitement as her call went out for more prey began to recede and she would soon claim a tasty looking mortal to play with.

Sweets...

Of all the things. It had to be sweets.

When Cain had caught word of strange activity in and around the village, he'd come expecting to see flames or monsters causing a ruckus.

Instead, he found himself standing in an intact town square. Everyone else was nowhere to be found, and the overbearing stench of sweets absolutely drenched the area. It felt like he was standing in the middle of a bake sale, but where were the treats? Better yet, the customers? Many times Cain's paranoia had led him on wild goose chases, but as much as he tried to rationalize the creepy silence, he couldn't fight a sense of unease at the back of his mind.

Sparks of flame danced prettily between Cain's fingers as he moved on down the street. He doubted he needed his spells, but it definitely made him feel more secure!

Ooo, something new, something strong. Able to feel the energy bouncing back from the widespread stream of her scent, Magus grinned and hummed in excitement, sucking some of the treats from her fingers as she cast her scent out towards this new thing, so powerful and strong... or so it would appear to begin with at least, certainly not strong enough to overpower the candy coated creature, surely.

But even if he did but up a fight, at least perhaps she would work up an appetite while doing so. "Mmm, to feast on that human's energy, make him my sweet addicted slut~" she mused with a sneer in her voice.

The smell around town suddenly intensified around Cain, like it was leading him ala a cartoon finger, beckoning to him and leading the way to where those sweets were residing. Where they doughnuts? Eclairs? Cakes? Did it matter at all, with a smell so good it could cause anyone's sweet tooth to start aching simply from the smell.

Cain paused in his tracks to sniff the air again, suddenly catching a much stronger whiff of the smorgasbord of sweets. Was it chocolate?...There was definitely some vanilla in there, and... It was hard to describe. It was like a bakery exploded nearby. There would have been more smoke in that case though. Perhaps the town's inhabitants had simply gathered somewhere? The smell was certainly enticing. He'd never had too much of a sweet tooth, but he couldn't help but be reminded of the bakery from back home. Oh, they'd nearly put him into a coma as a child.

Again he pushed forward towards the smell. His spell still danced in his hand, but it was almost reflexive to lick his lips at the smell..

As Cain got closer, he'd begin to notice something around the walls, varying dabs of coloured... icing? And taffy? So many sticky yet sweet substances stuck to the walls and the ground, at first in small clumps, but soon building to large patches, a puddle of chocolate milkshake, the path underneath was even beginning to get sticky. A sweet, sticky threat to the town? Hardly threatening.

At least until he got close enough to see the pink house, almost inconspicuously hidden amongst the gaggle of buildings but taller that most, and a candy cane chimney puffing out what was obviously the smell that Cain at caught a whiff of earlier. It certainly stood out upon notice though, it was an urban Hansel and Gretel almost.

With only a few moments to take the side in, there was a suddenly change in the air, something speeding towards the hero, from the door of the building, a large pink substance aiming right for him, with an aim to tie him in it's sticky embrace.

Again. Sweets. It just had to be sweets.

Cain gawked at the sight before him in a mixture of awe, disbelief, and confusion. The trail of sweetstuffs leading up to it had been strange enough, but....an actual house? It was definitely the source of the delicious smells, but.... Seriously? What the heck was going on here?

Before he could get an answer, his thoughts were interrupted by the sudden rush of pink goo from the doorway of the building. Thankfully Cain's tension had paid off for once, and immediately he sprung to the right to dodge it.

Cain frowned and stumbled to his feet, a fireball roaring to life in one hand while the other dusted some icing from the ground off of his robe.

"Okay! Not funny! Come out here and explain.....Whatever the hell this is!"

A high, sweet chuckle came from the house, the taffy rope retracting as quickly as it had reached out and the door opened wider, though what was inside was unable to be seen, the sunlight was certainly not working with Cain this time, the doorway shrouded in the shadows.

"Funny, sweetie? No no, that wasn't supposed to be funny, that was an invitation to come play~" chimed that voice, like everything else, sounding so sweet it could give someone diabetes. As if the theme hadn't already run its course. "But, obviously I didn't make myself clear," she said and erupted in giggles. "Let me whip up something more forward?"

Pun aside, a large, candy covered hand emerged from the door, hold a giant, red liquorice whip, hurling it forward and reaching out to lash out at the hero.

Cain unintentionally cringed at the sound of the sugary voice that responded to him. It was almost like the confectionary theme that surrounded him had been briefly personified. Just what in the world was he dealing w-

"Bwuh!?"

Out came another attack, but once more Cain was ready for it. He ducked away from the strange candy whip and rolled into position, letting loose his own attack. A bright ball of flame burst from his palm and at the doorway of the strange house. If the..person? Didn't want to come out, he'd smoke it out!

Did burning candy smell good? That was something he'd never considered, at least.

(Fireball 70%: Cain launches a small fireball at a target, dealing 20 damage. 50% chance to inflict burning, burning targets take extra 10 HP damage for four turns.)

Another miss, but at least the good thing about this attack, Magus' eyes were on her target and could see the fireball burning in the other's hand and chuckled, it had been a while since a real fire had heated her oven after all. The moment the Hero threw a fireball, Magus stepped out in her large, candy coated glory, bulging in all the right places and just oozing with candy, a sight both erotic and yet enough to make one's stomach rumble.

Something not as enjoyable to watch though, Magus bent over and opened her mouth wide, swallowing the fireball whole, sighing with glee as her stomach began cooking again. "Oh my, I'll get a double batch of sweets today thanks to you, however can I thank such a sweetie?~" She chuckled and again threw her hands out, the goop covering her finger tips launched out, showing the source of the taffy from before, trying once more to pull him in. "C'mon in, I'm sure I'll find something for you, sugar!"

Cain's mouth dropped open as the creature came bursting from the house, and swallowed his magical projectile like it was some sort of meal. He had no idea what he was looking at now. At this point he would have been happy with some teenybopper witch with a sweet tooth, or a really bad hallucination. But this?...

It was definitely more than enough to stun him sufficiently for the being's next attack to land.

The mage grunted loudly as the pink mass barreled into him. His head snapped forward into the taffy, giving him a brief taste of the unbelievably sweet substance, before he was cast back down on the ground. He was thankful the stuff didn't snag his robes... but it left him a little...hungry.

Once again Cain scrambled to his feet, grimacing as he tried in vain to wipe the sticky residue from his mouth and face. That thing was made of candy. It was made of candy and ate fire. Great.

"Gyeh! You stay away from me!" He yelled in retort, this time summoning a different spell in his hand. "Let's see if you can digest this one!"

It seemed electricity wasn't something the beast could really withstand. For a moment, Magus was stunned but she shook it off, some of the batter that was lathered over her body flying off and landing nearby before merely grinning. "Well now, wasn't that a shocking treat," she teased, giggling a little before stepping out a little further.

"Now, come on sweetie, let's not make a scene out in public, come in, I insist~" The monster seemed to gargle briefly before suddenly spitting out thick gooey balls of chocolate at the hero's feet.

Cain allowed himself a quiet grunt of triumph when
his spell actually seemed to do some damage. The monster's continued optimism didn't let it last, unfortunately. Again he readied the shock spell and stepped forward....only to lose his footing and fall on his face as the blob of chocolate covered and hardened around his feet.

"Wha?!" He exclaimed, fumbling to break away his delicious shackles.

Took Cain's sense of triumph, belting out a laugh of victory and enjoyment as her victim was successfully trapped in the large globules of Chocolate. "See, now, I'm afraid my offer is now longer a question sweetie," Magus chimed, backing up the slightest bit with a large grin on her face. Despite the large size of her form, she leapt up, her massive form flying a good ten feet above Cain before gravity kicked in. "I insist!"

It was no use. Cain was rooted firmly in place by the the mass of hardened chocolate around his feet. His attempts at scraping it off had only gotten the stuff on his hands as well, which effectively disrupted his spells. Indeed, the most he could do was yelp in surprise and try to cover himself as the confectionary monstrosity leapt into the air and came plummeting down towards him.

It hurt. Oh it hurt, but not nearly as much as it should have. Not that the alternative was much better. Cain's cries were muffled as the creature's mass engulfed him, the thing's sweet coatings forcing their way into his mouth with every attempt to breathe. It was like a child's dream gone horribly wrong. It tasted amazing! Moreso than it should have! If it hadn't been for the fact that the food was attacking him, it wouldn't have been very unpleasant of an experience at all..

Chuckling a little as her new friend was silenced thanks to her candy coating, Magus tauntingly patted his head, smearing icing and chocolate over his hair. "That's right, don't try to fight it, it just isn't worth it sweetie," she teased as she got up and slowly made her way back into her home, carrying the warrior, stuck to her chest like he was a child.

The inside of the home was no better than the outside, if not worse, there were piles of candy all over the place, looking as though recently there had been people munching on them thanks to a few noticeable dents in them. But if that was the case, then where were the people? "Here we are, welcome to my humble abode~"

Candy coating: (Passive) Magus gains an extra 10% buff to all melee attacks as it is difficult to penetrate it's sludgy, sticky body. If attacked physically by the opponent and the attack misses, roll again, if 15 or lower, the opponent gets stuck inside of it and is considered grappled, roll of 75 or more to escape.
