Name: Francesca
HP: 100 CC: 130
Sex: Female
Age: Looks 23 (actual age unknown)
Height: 5'7”
Weight: 148 lbs.
Appearance: Fran is a beauty to behold, and she’s quite aware of it. She is not particularly on the tall side, but considering she’s almost always in heels, she often seems to be a bit tall. She has smooth white skin, with dirty blonde waves falling down to her shoulders, framing her cute and attractive facial features. Her startling blue eyes and plush lips tend to turn heads almost as much as her curvy figure and sizeable chest. She is most often seen in a blue dress of one fashion of another, usually coming down to her knees or ankles.
When people manage to get past her beauty, the first thing most people notice is the faint runes across her skin. They appear to be a darker tone of skin than her own, mostly on her arms and legs, but a pair rest on her back and another in her cleavage. However, the ones most people never see are the most important. She has a single rune on her tongue, appearing black like a tattoo, and two more within her eyes, always shimmering gold, though without a great deal of eye contact and focus, they are impossible to notice.
History: Francesca awoke as most others of her kind did: standing alone in the middle of a field with little more than the clothes on her back and a need to survive. Fortunately for her, she had landed close to a nearby city, where she quickly blended into the culture. Within a week, she had already discovered her innate abilities to manipulate people into agreeing with her, which was in part how she began to survive off of other’s ‘generosity’. Though she greatly enjoyed using her gifts, she began to feel a bit of guilt in using it so freely. Not everyone should have their belongings taken from them, even if they did agree to it.
Fran began to develop her powers into a less practical but more constructive use: namely performance. She had a natural talent for dancing and singing, and, when combined with her hypnotic presence, she commanded a great deal of stage presence. She adjusted her skills to using these powers to earn money, selling out concerts on a regular basis. This kind of fame eventually began to attract unwanted attention, of course, having several members of both the Sanctuary and the Organization confront her at different times. Defending herself, however, was instinctual, and neither party managed to do any considerable damage to her.
Personality: Fran is a bit subdued in terms of her outwards emotions, though under her somewhat cool exterior she is a fun-loving performer. Always eager to dance or explore, she has wandered through many cities and performed in many unique clubs, having a particular fondness for music. She is outgoing, and certainly not above helping those who need a hand, but dislikes conflict enough to actively suppress fights whenever possible. Due to the ease by which she can manipulate people, she has a slight problem when she doesn’t get her way, but she keeps such frustrations to herself.
Abilities: Francesca is a natural hypnotist and excellent performer, giving her a wide range of skills in battle. Though she will normally attempt to deter combat, she’s generally considered a difficult opponent due to her wide variety of spells and physical ability, mostly leaning towards using her innate powers to defend herself rather than her rather diminutive physical might. Her hypnosis is most often used as a means of affecting emotions and opinions in a positive way, though she is not afraid to use it as a means of weakening an opponent’s focus if necessary.
Runic Vision Passive Fran’s eyes are enchanted with powerful runes that are the primary source of her powers, not only giving her a great deal of hypnotic/offensive power, but also defending her against similar efforts. Any attack based on eye contact has a 50% chance of being reflected back on the user (rolled on their next turn). Attacks that rely on hypnotic or other visual stimuli suffer a 20% reduction in accuracy due to her eyes naturally guarding against such displays. Finally, any CC passives based on sight have no affect.
Dancer, not a Fighter Passive Fran is quite limber and agile, but is not known for being able to deal substantial damage. Most of her physical attacks are on the weaker side, but she has a 10% Evasion chance against most attacks. (Evasion does not stack with Runic Vision.)
Basic Attack 90% 10 Physical Damage Punching and kicking are about all she has, though she isn’t afraid to use her head if necessary.
Twirling Kick 85% 15 Physical Damage Fran performs a twirling kick to add some force to her attack, normally going for the opponent’s midsection. Has a 20% chance of reducing Accuracy and Evasion of the target by 10% for one round.
Heel-Jab 75% 20 Physical Damage Fran plants her foot, giving a firm kick to the opponent’s midsection or chest in an effort to destabilize them. Has a 30% chance of stunning the target due to the force of the attack knocking them to the ground.
Golden Gaze 70% 30 Magical Damage Fran’s runes are not just capable of hypnosis. They are capable of creating a variety of highly damaging bursts of magic. Fran fires two golden beams from her eyes at her intended target for a very cost effective attack.
Golden Burst 70% 20 Magical Damage (AoE) Similar to Golden Gaze, this attack fires a blast of energy from her eyes. However, not so similarly, the magic explodes at the target location, dealing damage to all those around the target as well. This attack also has a 25% of stunning any opponent hit by the explosion. This attack is taxing, however, and can only be used every three rounds.
Stunning Gaze 70% 10 CC Damage (Eye Contact required) Fran’s eyes are her finest feature, and it is incredibly easy to get caught staring at them, completely losing track of time. An opponent that stares directly into her eyes often fails to notice the passage of time for one round, having a 50% chance of stunning the target. Additionally, typical Evasion bonuses and debuffs do not apply to this attack.
Hear me out? 80% 20 CC Damage (Eye Contact required) Fran’s eyes have an effect on those who gaze into them that causes them to be more open to her suggestions. Though she could potentially use this more maliciously, she often resorts to it in combat to instead create predictable patterns in the enemy’s movements to further aid her in avoiding attacks. An opponent catching her gaze will be told to perform a particular action from their list of abilities. While they believe it is their idea, following her suggestion 40% of the time. Fran knows what is coming, personally receiving an additional 20% Evasion against a suggestion that is followed, but conversely losing her normal Evasion bonus if the suggestion is not followed. Additionally, typical Evasion bonuses and debuffs do not apply to this attack.
This next one is for You! 90% 10 CC Damage (Eye Contact required) Fran’s gaze can allow her to fool opponents into a false sense of security, allowing for particularly devastating follow-up attacks. With a little wink of her eye, she confuses the opponent slightly, often broadcasting a different plan of attack than she actually intends. There is a 50% chance that her next attack will have +5% Accuracy, Damage, and an additional 15% chance of activating any secondary effects (this bypassing the restrictions on her other Eye Contact attacks). Additionally, typical Evasion bonuses and debuffs do not apply to this attack.
Calm Yourself 80% Ally Heal 30 CC/Enemy Increase 20 CC With a deep look into a target’s eyes, Fran is capable of removing most serious doubts and fears for the moment. Allies find themselves motivated and centered again, while most enemies find themselves feeling a bit weakened in focus. This is not one of her preferred means of using her abilities, however, and as such she refrains from using it to affect any one person more than once per battle.
I’m Your Friend/Snap out of It! 100% CC Max Fran begins to wear on people after prolonged exposure to her eyes, even causing Mistresses to slowly begin to see her way of things. When a Hero/Fallen is at 90% of their CC, Fran can persuade them that she is not a threat and indeed is friendly to their cause. Mistresses/Fallen may undergo a slightly different form of finalizing her sway over them, indeed convincing them that perhaps they should be using their abilities for something more… productive. (Exact details are on a case by case basis)
