The Dark Knights of the Fanged Maw are an ancient band of warriors committed to serving a single purpose. What this purpose is differs for every knight and can run the gamut from things as simple as "Traveling to every kingdom in the World" to goals as grand as "To See all there is to See".

Just as different as their goals are the knights themselves. They are drawn from all walks of life and called to become Knights at the moment of their greatest desperation. Good and Evil, Holy and Unhallowed, any sort can be a member of the Knights should they be willing to take upon their shoulders the weight of the Midnight Destiny.

-----

((This is an Open Hero Group, meaning anyone who wishes to make their character into a Dark Knight of the Fanged Maw may post here. A few rules first:

1. The Character must be willing to take in an Unspecified Darkness before they will even be considered for Membership of the Dark Knights. This means an (ex-)Hero like Star or anyone who is considered "Innocent" is exempt from joining.

2. Dark does NOT mean Emo. Yes, it is fine to have a character bemoan his fate every once in a while to show that they are still human but doing it EVERY POST OF EVERY THREAD is bad form.

3. A character does NOT necessarily need to be human to be considered a member of the Dark Knights. This opens up room for Reformed Mistresses and other Oddities in their ranks.

4. The Dark Knights are not precisely trusted, having built up a decently destructive reputation the world over. Other players should keep this in mind when interacting with a Dark Knight.

That should be all for that. I will post below the "Perks" for membership. Remember, ALL Dark Knight characters gain these abilities.))

{Midnight Destiny}

Passive.  +10 Damage, -10% Dodge Chance.

This Character is set on destroying and absorbing the essence of Mistresses and their Minions and will not allow ANYONE to get in the way of this goal.

{Weapon of Darkness}

80%, +10 Damage to attacks, +10 CC Damage received for the next 10 turns.

This character calls upon the twisting nether and forces the power of Darkness into their weapons through sheer force of will. Because they are forcing the darkness into submission, they too are closer to submitting.

{Split you lungs with Blood and Thunder!}

60%, Heals Character for 30CC, 10HP. Increases Hit Chance by 5% for two turns.

Filled with dark rage and purest anger the character lets out a skull splitting roar of defiance.

{Divine Purpose}

Passive.

All Dark Knights are granted a vision from the divine. This is their purpose. When a Dark Knight sets to fulfilling his or her Purpose, they will feel filled with power and will. If they should deny their purpose, they will be drained. This translates to a +10 HP and CC Bonus when on a mission directly relating to their purpose and a -10 Penalty when they refuse to seek out said purpose.

Example: Phyllos the Dark Knight has the purpose of viewing all the flowers of the world. She takes a mission to battle Mistress Venus and gets the Bonus because it is directly related to her Purpose. If she takes a mission into the Jungle or a Forest or any other sort of Grassy or Plant-Like area, she will get neither bonus nor Penalty because it does not conflict nor relate. However, if she takes a mission to a City or Factory or other Urban Area than she will take the Penalty because it Conflicts with her Purpose.

{No Shame}

Passive. Any effects that attempt to charm or harm this character due to a hidden shame or darkness are nullified.

A Dark Knight is taught to embrace the darkness of their own souls. They hide nothing and care nothing for anyone's interpretations of their souls.
