Deep in the Sanctum, close to the magical quarter was the room of a certain elf, the confidence lacking youth had prepared herself for what looked to be a pleasent night. A warm light breeze blew through the window despite the night, perhaps it was a simple enchantment or just the elves own tolerance for the cold after all she was use to roughing it even if she was living the high life now being self appointed bodyguard of Lady Soren'la Hailfall.

"ahhh Lady Hailfall." The girl sighed blissfully as finished brushing her long hair, on of the few things so took pride in acutually was the silky smooth locks that not matter the atmosphere would never fade, break or fray. "I wonder if my Lady will require my services tomorrow." she wonder as she walked from her dresser to her bed, as a hero and one of the last remaining elves coupled with her connection to said lady, she was afford more lucurious abode than others but then again she did spend alot of time in the sanctum to, after all her lady rarely ventured from the grounds given her status as a prime target.

She gave one last thought to her beloved role model as well as to a certain Half elf whom she was equally as infaturiated with before finally settling in to bed, she blew the bedside candle and settled in for nice peaceful slumber.

An odd dream would occur.  One centered around Lady Hailfall, as she was leading Jarianna somewhere.

"Its not too far now.  Just follow me, and you'll see."

She seemed to shimmer, almost.  As if this weren't real, and yet, more real than before.

She was having trouble keeping up, her heart was on fire and it didn't feel all that good either, it wasn't fatigue no she was sure she could keep this pace up for another hour or 2 before she'd need to rest. Was she nervous? Anxious? She couldn't tell but what reason could she have to worry, she was save her Lady Hailfall after all.

"P-please wait my lady." she called after briefly losing sight of the dream representation.

The dream Soren'la turned a corner ahead, seemingly disappearing from view for mere moments.  Or was it longer?  Hours?  Days?  It was meaningful in some way.  A period of time where she was just out of Jarianna's sight.

Turning the corner, Jarianna would see indistinct, yet undoubtedly feminine figures surrounding Soren'la; a haze of some kind seemed to make her indistinct as well, save for a hand grasping out.

"No...don't let them...take me..."

She would never be sure if that last part was a continuation of the thought, or something different.

She grasped toward the image, no matter how she ran it was forever out reach.

"NNNOOOO!" She heard herself cry, rage, sorrow, loathing it was all in her voice as she screamed for her friend, she had so much to say, so much to do. No matter the cost she kept moving, pushing and pushing, her lungs now burned hotter than the pain in her heart.

The hand was enveloped by the darkness, and soon, tittering, giggles, and taunts seemed to rain down upon Jarianna from all sides.

"You can't save her."

"No one can save her."

"She's ours now."

"And always will be."

"You have failed.  She will bring you to your knees."

"And you will worship her."

Then the voices ceased, and blackness seemed to become palpable all around Jarianna.  A darkness that could not be pierced by any kind of light.

She could not hear her own voice in this darkness, she felt sluggish, worn. She clawed at the ground, the air, nothing, she could not grab anything it was all immaterial. She felt arm tear stream down her face as she realised the voices where true for the most part before she gave an anguish, soundless scream to the darkness. The fear and sadness gave way to anger and hatred, She'd kill them all, they'd pay for their crimes.

Bow in had she fired arrows to the void and yet no matter how many she fired it was never enough. It did not matter she would blanket it all in arrows, Bow drawn, face contorted in rage she wanted something to shoot over than this damnable void.

"Yes.  Let that rage take over.  Feel how hopeless you really are.  Your power could do nothing to save her."

A voice taunted her, at once sinister and familiar.

"But I am still here.", another voice called.  This one... this one was far different.  The voice of someone she cared deeply for.  The one she lost.

"Follow my voice.  You will find me, and when we meet, you will know the truth."

She felt like her heart was in her throat as the voice called, she scrambled to find it, her tired legs desperate to find the source.

"I.... I need you..." she breathlessly cried.

A slight chuckle came from that voice after she said that.

"You're almost there."

She continued her desperate sprinting despite the growing feelings of unease, the bow held tight she couldn't shake the feeling she needed it close.

"W-Where are you!?"

A figure, obscured in a light haze, seemed to instantly appear before Jarianna.

"I'm right here."

She ran, legs screaming as she desperately ran to the image.

"Pl-please please be fine." more pain echoed through her body.

"Sssshh..", she said, in an attempt to calm down the young elf.

"I am better than fine, dear Jarianna.  I know the truth now."

The image embraced Jarianna in a comforting way, petting her affectionately.

'She's so warm.' The young elf felt herself swoon in the embrace of her senior. Wait. No this wasn't right, Lady Hailfall respected her but she never would pet her like this.

"Wh-wha do you mean," She panicked pushing herself away from the image. "M-my lady would never speak like that!"
