Soren'la was surprised at this reaction.

"...Jarianna...you really care for me, don't you?"

The bewitched elf could only nod in her tranced state but otherwise remained holding the older's hand.

Soren'la simply sighed.  This was a very big problem.  This connection was powerful, and would be helpful to keep Jarianna centered if they were in trouble.  But there was a downside too.  If Soren'la was ever captured, this connection could be exploited heavily, easily leading the young elf to a trap, and possible conversion.

Separation was out of the question, but if she could do something to dampen it, even by a bit, it would increase Jarianna's chances of survival.

"...Jarianna...is there anything...you'd like me to do for you?  Anything you've had thoughts or....fantasies about..."

She felt very uncomfortable asking this of the hypnotised elf, but if it helped her, she'd do it.

"I'd.... like....to be with you always." the girl answered in an ambiguous no descript but given the girl had never put much thought it what she'd want from a relation with the older elf it was probably the best answer she could give at this time.

Soren'la gave a sad smile.  Clearly, this connection couldn't be tampered with.  It was too strong.  She hugged the younger elf, and patted her gently.

"I understand.  That's fine...we will be together, always."

She ceased the spell, letting Jarianna slowly wake from her trance.

"h-huh?" Jarianna exclaimed as she awoke in the sweet embrace of her beloved mentor.

"Did something happen my lady?" she asked somewhat perplexed as to why she was feeling the delightful warmth of the other.

"Its nothing you need to worry yourself over.  I'll be here with you, always."

She continued hugging Jarianna, a feeling of sorrow and nausea eating at her stomach.  This was not a good time for such a friendship; it would be tested, and there was a good chance it would end in sorrow.

With but a few words the young elf could feel all the blood in her body rush to her face.

"M-my lady...I. but It should be I saying that!" she spoke trying to regain some composure.

Soren'la chuckled at Jarianna's reaction, pulling away to look at her friend.

"It seems that, in your trance, I saw a part of you that I should've seen from the beginning.  I'm ashamed that it took me all this time, and in such an undignified manner, to have it occur to me.  For all my brilliance, I'm still quite naive.  heheh.."

She sat up, a cheerful smile on her face, as she picked up some of the papers, before a thought came to her.

"Oh, dear.  I offered you some of my books, but I guess we got so caught up in that spell I found that I forgot about it.  Here you go."

She grabbed about five large books, handing them to Jarianna, as she picked up around her room.

Jarianna's eyes lit up as she was handed the heavy tomes.

"I'll be sure to transcribe every last word to memory. Oh I should make notes. I'll need a quill! Oh but where will I find one...." it was hard to tell if she was exciteable from being shown such trust or if she was still as hyper as when she found Soren'la.

Soren'la simply smiled, seeing the cheerful, energized girl she cared for.
